Lisa Bonet says Bill Cosby brought 'sinister' energy to 'Cosby Show' set

"Cosby Show" star Lisa Bonet opened up about working with her former TV father Bill Cosby for the first time since the actor was accused of multiple sexual assault allegations.

In a new interview with Net-a-Porter's Porter magazine, the actress confessed that she was not surprised that her former TV dad was facing sexual misconduct allegations and admitted that Cosby gave off a "sinister" energy.

"There was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed," she said.

Bonet went on to say that she wasn't aware of any inappropriate behavior while she worked on the "The Cosby Show" and "A Different World," but she said she "sensed darkness."

Bonet and Cosby famously clashed in 1987 after the actress made the decision to star in the R-rated film "Angel Heart," where she took part in a controversial sex scene with Mickey Rourke.

It was then rumored that their creative differences is what lead to Bonet eventually being fired from the show. But when asked if Cosby's allegations had dampened her memories of working with him she said, “No, it’s exactly as I remember it" and that his fate would be left up "to karma and justice."

Cosby faces a retrial on charges he drugged and molested a woman in 2004. Prosecutors describe him as a serial predator.

The actor recently made new headlines after it was revealed that his daughter, Ensa Cosby, who had previously defended her father against his allegations, died of renal disease at the age of 44.
